The truth about Scripture

Today my Pastor, David Frye said some wonderful things about scripture in his sermon. While I hardly know as much as I should about scripture, his words really ring true for all of us. These were his four points:

"If the scriptures warn against it...don't play around with it."

"If the scriptures forbid it...do not try to justify it."

"If the scripture is silent about it...don't you create it."

"If the scriptures encourage it...don't try to ignore it."

What a great summary of how to read the wonderful book the Lord gave us.
