thoughts on turning 42

John once fished with a friend who had been really sick. In fact, a transplant was all that would save his life, and it did. Still, he struggled and had lots of remaining health problems. One day they were on the boat fishing. John could tell the guy felt really terrible that day. John asked him, "*****, are you having a bad day?". He basically told John that any day above the ground was a good day.

I am thankful today that I have the Lord as my Savior. Thankful to be healthy. Thankful to have a husband who loves and values me. Thankful to have a thriving ten-year old. Thankful to a have a big, supportive family. Thankful to have everything I need and a lot of the things I want. I am truly blessed.

Yep, it's a great day to be alive!!!!!
